He is joined by his mother JoAnna and brother Shad, both certified nursing assistants with speciality training in diabetes, nurse delegation, mental health, and dementia. A Big Heart is a cozy home full of good people, good food, and good times. Our mission is to promote health, safety, comfort, and independence. Our residents enjoy living in a home where caregivers really get to know them. Here, they have a lot of freedom in how they choose to go about their day. We are staffed with awake caregivers around the clock, so someone is always available to offer help. Living here, residents really do feel like part of a family because we are family owned and operated.
Good health...
We take a keen interest in our residents' wellness. We have a registered nurse who works full time at A Big Heart, ensuring our residents' health needs are always being met. Our nurse performs health assessments, reviews and oversees medication administration, and personally interacts with our residents' physicians to ensure seamless, effective care.
Promoting good nutrition is also very important to us. Our residents are offered a diverse and palatable menu that they help us create based on their food preferences. We happily accommodate a variety of special diets. We serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and our kitchen is always stocked with tasty, nutritious snacks available throughout the day and night.
A Big Heart adult family home is located just three and a half miles away from St. Peter Hospital, an award-winning magnet-level institution.

Excellent care is just the beginning at A Big Heart Adult Family Home. We offer a lot of creature comforts to make living here pleasant and enjoyable. Our home's interior was recently renovated with comfort, safety, and functionality in mind. We offer a total of six beds--two private rooms, and two semi-private rooms. We are pleased to offer clean, attractive furnishings without charge, or resident's may bring their own furnishings.
Our communal living room has a large flat screen LED television for movies and games. Our seating area is large enough to accommodate all our residents at one time. We are proud to offer a spacious, comfy La-Z-Boy sofa and recliners that are designed to help people easily get up to a standing position.
Residents will enjoy summer BBQs on the large deck. They'll savor fresh vegetables they helped grow in the resident garden and pick cherries, apples, and blueberries from the backyard. Click here to learn more about our amenities
